Rebecca Turner currently lives in her hometown of Arroyo Grande, CA, near her parents and two sisters. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2008 with a BA in Organizational and Interpersonal Communication. Since then she has explored ways to gain community development skills. After completing a term with Family Care Network through AmeriCorps, she completed a 2 year Missions and Outreach Internship for Mountainbrook Community Church. Through this experience she became passionate about God’s heart for justice and also became aware of many social injustices, including Human Trafficking. In 2012 Rebecca founded and currently facilitates the MB Abolitionists group, a faith-based community group desiring to raise awareness of Human Trafficking. In an effort to raise awareness and equip the local community of San Luis Obispo, this group will be hosting its first Justice Summit in November, 2013.
