The 2024 Santa Barbara Mission Conference
was held Feb 3, 2024
at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Barbara
21 E. Constance Avenue, Santa Barbara
The 2024 conference was one of the best ever! With a paid attendance of 272 the conference made a strong recovery from the Covid years. Conferees were hearing from students and other young adults as much as the students were hearing from established institutions, and the exchange was completely natural. The space was authentically intergenerational. The takeaway message of the conference was that loving God and being activists for justice can and should go hand-in-hand. Those in attendance committed to being agents of change. A follow-up "boot camp", called Neighborhood Impact 101 was held on Feb. 24, where conference attendees were trained and equipped to attack homelessness, human trafficking, and other social ills.
This is the first year that Kingdom Causes, Inc. has partnered with the Santa Barbara Mission Conference. God has blessed and will bless this partnership as the 2024 conference leaves the comfortable venue of First Presbyterian Church and goes out onto the streets of our cities.
