Summary
The estimated attendance at the Friday evening session of the Santa Barbara Mission Conference was 320. But the estimate of 450 attendees at the Saturday sessions breaks the old attendance record by 100! More than 30 exhibitors displayed their mission opportunities in our exhibit tent. Many more denominations and non-denominations attended SBMC for the first time. More people came from beyond 100 miles.
Attendees were able to worship both days with the Reality Santa Barbara band ("Coastline Music") and Pastor Tom Stephen of Newbury Park. $1500 in prizes was awarded in our video contest. Attendees enjoyed twelve distinct mission workshops. More than 400 box lunches by Three Pickles Deli were served. More than 350 commitment cards were filled out and prayed over. God's Spirit was palpable throughout the sessions.
